Both my brother and I hated our neighbours whose names we don’t know despite living door to door for 20 years. They piss us off very much when they started to disturb us – knock on our doors or no reason, plucking the fruits off our potted plants (when it was STILL NOT illegal to have your plants certified as potential killer litters) and then we decided to get back at them. We wanted to put banana peels outside their front door so that they would fall and land on their asses. But we decided to destroy their beloved potted plants outside their corridor, paying them back for what they did to ours. Why should they keep lovely plants but make ours look like disaster?
After midnight one day, my brother and I were making a din in the house. Moments later, knocks came rattling on our door. It was the downstairs neighbour. He came to complain that it was not the first time he heard noises coming from above – our flat. And he was very pissed off. So were we, though we were the culprits. He didn’t like us waking him up from his sleep, neither did we like a stranger whose head popped into our door viewer in the middle of 1am. Gosh.
